2023 SCHEDULE/RULES

[personal profile] wish_upon_a_meme is a relaxed December gifting event modeled on prompt memes and the dearly departed LJ comm [livejournal.com profile] insmallpackages. Here you can request not just fanworks for your fandoms, but book and music recs, holiday greetings, personal anecdotes, pics of people's flowers/cats/holiday decor… whatever you can think of that could go in a comment, you can request here!

SCHEDULE:
  • Dec 1 to Dec 31: Requests may be posted. Please do not post requests after this date.
  • Dec 1 to Jan 14: Fills may be posted.

HOW IT WORKS:
  • Post your requests ANONYMOUSLY in the comments to this post. You can do that by posting while logged out or by hitting the "more options" button in the reply window.
  • Requests can be for: fic, art, other fanworks, fic recs, recs for books/movies/music, meta, recipes, holiday greetings, personal anecdotes or photos, or whatever you can think of that someone could fill or link to in a comment.
  • We ask that you make between 1-10 requests. Since requests are made anonymously, this is on the honor system.
  • Find people’s requests to fill! You can fill requests anonymously or logged in. Fills may be posted here, or they may be posted elsewhere and linked in your comment. Fills must be publicly accessible, ie not on a locked journal, a tumblr that requires logging in to view, etc.
  • More than one person can fill the same request.
  • Please say thank you when someone fills one of your requests! You can reply anonymously or logged in. You may want to bookmark your requests so you can check later, or if you have a paid DW account you can use the tracking feature to get notifications.
  • This account is paid through January, so logged-in DW users can search comments in it. If someone would like to make a spreadsheet to keep track of requests, please let us know, and we'll add a link to this post!

ALLOWED CONTENT
  • No RPF of serial killers, war criminals, or current politicians is allowed. Mods reserve the right to expand this list of disallowed fandoms at their discretion.
  • No sexually explicit RPF of people currently under the age of 18.
  • Otherwise, all fandoms, ships, and kinks are welcome.
  • No embedded NSFW images (art, gifs, etc). Please post a link instead.
  • Content warnings are optional. If you like, you can put spoilery or NSFW content behind a cut using the following code:

OTHER RULES:
  • You may not harass other participants.
  • If you see a participant harassing someone here on the comm or otherwise acting in bad faith, please let us know.
  • To communicate with the mods, you can DM the mod account or drop a note in the HELP THREAD (the first reply to this post).

YT recs

I would like recs for YouTube channels that you follow/enjoy to do with architecture, more looking at and discussing architecture that exists, especially if historic, rather than the building processes/DIY/architects drawings side of things. I don't follow anything like this atm.

Stewart Hicks is one. I'd also enjoy more recs for this!

Thank you, I'll check him out properly later, but a quick look at his YT makes me think this is just what I was looking for! :D
